Monday, March 8 marks the midway point in our Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign.  To honor the Divine Mercy to whom we dedicate this Spring 40 Days for Life Pensacola, we will hold a candle-light vigil at 6pm in front of  the AMS of Pensacola abortion facility.

Also, Monday,  March 8 will begin our DIVINE MERCY NOVENA  “for mothers, that they not abort their offspring; for infants in danger of being put to death in the womb; for a change of heart of providers of abortions and of their collaborators; for human victims of stem cell research, genetic manipulation, cloning, and euthanasia; and for all entrusted with the government of peoples, that they may promote the “Culture of Life” so as to put an end to the “culture of death.” (Pope John Paul II)

Papal Blessing for the Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy

From Pope John Paul II on March, 2003

Calling to Remembrance the participation in Our Lord’s Agony in Gethsemani of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska of The Most Blessed Sacrament, who at least thrice in her lifetime willingly accepted the violent pains that convulsed her for three hours and at times caused her to lose conciousness, as allowed by Jesus in order to offer reparation to God for infants murdered in their mothers’ wombs (Diary, §1276).

To All Members of The Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy—A Lay Ministry Outreach of the Congregation of Marians of The Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary—and To All The Faithful Worldwide, who join them in offering The Divine Mercy Chaplet—revealed to St. M. Faustina for averting divine chastisement—for mothers, that they not abort their offspring; for infants in danger of being put to death in the womb; for a change of heart of providers of abortions and of their collaborators; for human victims of stem cell research, genetic manipulation, cloning, and euthanasia; and for all entrusted with the government of peoples, that they may promote the “Culture of Life” so as to put an end to the “culture of death.”

I impart, as a token of a Superabundance of Divine Graces, My Heartfelt Apostolic Blessing.

Signed: John Paul II

Indeed, the link between this devotion and abortion is established by St. Faustina herself and recorded in her “Diary.” Fr. Seraphim Michalenko, MIC, who was a principal translator of St. Faustina’s diary, and the postulator of her cause of canonization, writes the following:

“On at least three occasions, from 8:00-11:00 in the evening, she felt like her insides were being torn apart. She suffered so much that she thought she was going to die. The doctors couldn’t figure out what was ailing her, and no medication was able to alleviate her sufferings. Later, she was given to understand that she was undergoing those pains for mothers who were aborting their children (Diary, 1276).

“On another occasion, she had a vision of an angel coming with thunderbolts to destroy one of the most beautiful cities of her country. And she felt powerless to do anything about it (Diary, 474). What antidote did the Lord give her? The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. [She explained] that the city was to be chastised for its sins, primarily the sin of abortion.” (“Wombs of Mercy,” Marian Helpers Bulletin, Summer 1995, p.13).

A young woman walked up to the 40 Days for Life vigil outside an abortion center in Austin, Texas recently. She signed up to join the others in prayer … and then immediately sat down on the sidewalk and started to cry. One of the volunteers stopped praying for a moment to approach the young woman, whom she had never met before, and asked her if she needed a hug. This volunteer assumed that the thought of what was going on inside the abortion facility had simply overcome this woman and brought her to tears. But that wasn’t the case. To her surprise, she found out this young woman was crying for another reason. “I’m pregnant right now and don’t want to be,” she said. “I’ve already had four abortions. She said she didn’t have an abortion scheduled. “But I keep feeling this huge temptation to just go to an abortion clinic, pay my $400 and get it over with. I came to the sidewalk to pray, and to be around people who are like-minded as I am.” The young woman told one of the sidewalk counselors that she was twelve weeks into her pregnancy. She had already been to a pregnancy resource center, but was still a mess emotionally. She had become a Christian, she said. “But with this pregnancy, I just feel so depressed. I’m living in a women’s shelter, and the last thing I want right now is to be pregnant.” The sidewalk counselor took her to dinner, and they sat and talked for hours. “As they developed a long- term plan to get this young woman the help she needs,” said Elizabeth McClung, the local 40 Days for Life coordinator in Austin, “she said something that should serve as an encouragement to every single pro-lifer who has ever thought about going to pray at an abortion facility.” “If you guys weren’t out there praying,” this woman said, “I would have pulled up to the facility, sat in my car for hours on end — and ended up going inside for a fifth abortion. Since you were on the sidewalk praying, I knew I could find comfort and support there, so I went there to cry instead. Thank you for being there.” “Her story is the perfect example as to why we not only pray from home and from church, but we also go pray at the very places where lives are being hurt and taken,” Elizabeth said. She is now on a path to healing from her previous abortions, finding a job and taking her pregnancy one day at a time. And, Elizabeth said, “She is not going to have another abortion!” Please pray for her, and for all who are desperate to break out of that cycle of abortion.

We were praying outside the AMS of Pensacola abortion facility a little after noon time today and an amazing miracle occurred.  A young woman drove by and opened her window and told us, “I called my sister and convinced her not to have an abortion.”  We told her praise God, is there anything we can do to help her.  We told her we have a counselor from the Alpha Center (PROVIDENCE!!) and she could speak with her and get her resources she needs.  So she did.  She went in and got her sister out and they came out to talk with us.  When the young mother came out she looked dazed and confused, like the weight of the world was upon her shoulders.  Her sister told us, “I called the abortion facility and asked to speak with my sister and they would not let me speak with her.”  So I called back again and told them that I had an emergency with her little child at home and needed to get in touch with her right away.”

Finally they put her on the phone.  She talked to her and convinced her not to abort her baby.”   The young mother, still very much in shock after almost aborting her child told us, ”  It was so terrible in there, the noise in the place was awful.” (One can only imagine that this must have been the sound of the suction vacuum machines in all the rooms running.)  There were so many abortions taking place from 6am till 4pm today.  God save us!

As Jesus and our Blessed Mother would have it we had a counselor from the Alpha Center on hand, she had just arrived to the prayer vigil moments before.  This counselor was PROVIDENTIAL, as she not only knew about all the resources and medical assistance available for this woman at no charge, but she also spoke in the woman’s native tongue, spanish.  The Alpha Center counselor set up an appointment with her right away and told her about all the people she could set her up with to help her through her pregnancy and until her child is 5 years of age.  She really set the mother at ease.  She told her, “DON’T WORRY,  OUR LADY IS WITH YOU AND WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU, ALL WILL BE GREAT NOW!”  She told her, ” DO NOT WORRY, JESUS AND OUR LADY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU BOTH.”

I asked her if she was able to get her money back and she said she paid $525 for the abortion but they would only give her back $300 or so, so I told her that the pro-life community in Pensacola is ABSOLUTELY BEHIND HER.  I told her all will be well because she just made a life-giving decision.  God will provide and he will make a way for this child.  I know this because God has put the pro-life community in Pensacola behind this woman!  AND WE WILL NOT FAIL  HER!

Tuesday I will present her with $500 on behalf of the pro-life community in Pensacola, when she goes to the Alpha Center.  I ask all in the pro-life community to help us help this mom in need.  Please send checks to:

Life Inc. ,  P.O. Box 2171, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32549

In the memo line please write “40 Days for Life & Feb 21, 2010”  and we will know that the donation needs to go to her directly.

I have also been in touch with a local pro-life Ob/Gyn and she may go and see her baby by ultrasound this week.  She told us she was 10 weeks along and we gave her a precious feet pin that shows the size of her little baby’s feet, so that she could see what her baby looks like.  She and her sister both put the pins on their shirts before they left.

I could go on writing to you forever, but let me just tell you that God is SO GOOD!   In addition to this one woman’s story there were 6, YES SIX,  other mothers today that chose life for their babies!  PRAISE GOD!!  Although we did not get to talk to them each directly.  It was great to see the thumb’s up symbol and smiles of those turning away from abortion and choosing life for their children and themselves.  MOTHERS WERE ABSOLUTELY FLEEING THE ABORTION FACILITY TODAY.  IT WAS AN OVERALL COMPLETE “DIVINE MERCY” SLAM DUNK    M I R A C L E !!!!!!

And I don’t understand how anyone could want to miss out on all these G R A C E S and M I R A C L E S!  So come on out and pray in front of the abortion facility every chance you get, Jesus is REALLY, REALLY USING US TO SAVE LIVES!!

Join us for a city-wide prayer vigil in front of AMS of Pensacola this Saturday (2/20), at 12 noon, as we pray to end abortion in Pensacola.  We hope you will be able to join us this Saturday.

Prayer for the Closing of the Abortion Mill

By: Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life

Father, all life is in Your care.
You have entrusted us to one another,
that we may show our brothers and sisters
the same love You have for us.
We pray, then, for the least among us,
the children in the womb.
Protect them from the violence of abortion.
We pray for those that are scheduled to die at
AMS of Pensacola abortion facility.
Save them from death.
Give new hope to their parents,
that they may turn away from the
desperate act of abortion.
Grant conversion to the abortionist and to the staff.
Show us how we are to respond to the
bloodshed in our midst,
And lead us to the day when this place of death
Will be transformed into a haven of life.
Guard us with your joy and your peace,
For in You, life is victorious.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

As 40 Days for Life begins today in Pensacola and around the world, we are excited to find out what miracles God has in store for us!  We hope and pray each and everyone of you will be part of God’s miracles, as we join in peaceful, prayer vigils in front of AMS of Pensacola.  Below I am adding the peaceful vigil agreement for all to review again.  This is very important to read.  If any one of these agreements are broken, then you are no longer part of 40 Days for Life.  That is why it is so important to go there and pray only.  Let the Holy Spirit do the work.  Prayer and fasting (if health permits), and peaceful prayerful vigils are the staples of 40 Days for Life.  That is what makes 40 Days for Life so successful.  We are not relying on ourselves to change hearts and minds.  We are asking God, and God alone, to change hearts and minds.  We go there in faith, that His love and mercy will change hearts and minds.  Pensacola has been so blessed to see the Community Health Care Center of Pensacola close last fall.  We believe that after this Lenten 40 Days for Life campaign and the Novena of Masses for the closure of AMS of Pensacola, Pensacola will be an abortion free city.  Let us pray together in front of the desert in our town and journey with Christ as he changes hearts and minds through our prayer and fasting.  Let us bring the mercy of Christ to the darkest place in our town.  Let us pray!
