This past Saturday, March 13, was a very windy day in Pensacola. The special intention for the day was for the mothers and fathers, that they choose life. Many did. A total of 5 saves were witnessed on Saturday. Many of the regular vigil participants also recognized that there were not as many abortions taking place as usual. The parking lot by 9 AM is always full, said one 40 DFL participant. Today the parking lot is half full.
One dramatic event unfolded during the fourth witnessed save. A group of women drove up and got out of their car. One of the women turned to us and said, “Why do you have children out here?” I replied, “They are here praying for you and to remind everyone that children are a wonderful gift.” She stomped away. One minute later, one of the women from this group drove away very angry. The others from the first car came out the front door with a woman inside the abortion facility. Anyone that comes out the front door has NOT had an abortion. The same woman that questioned the presence of the children stated, “Why don’t you get these kids away from here?” I replied, “We love you! We are here praying for you and your friends.” As they drove by, the young woman in the back of the car, who was inside the abortion facility, gave us a big thumbs up outside her open window. She chose life!
This spring my four children, who have been with us every day during all four 40 Days for Life campaigns in Pensacola, have begun to understand the importance of prayer in front of the abortion facility. My two oldest (8 and 6) have really been praying a lot this spring with us. My children are the ones the woman was referring to. I believe my children were used by the Holy Spirit, to change this woman’s mind. Children do have a tremendous impact on the mothers and fathers that enter abortion facilities. Thank you God for the wonderful gifts you have given me in my life, my wonderful children and wife. I am so proud of them all!
What a miraculous day it was to see so many lives saved this past Saturday in Pensacola. God is so good!
